SpoonPace Privacy Policy
Overview
SpoonPace ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SpoonPace iOS mobile application (the "App") for energy management for people living with Long COVID and ME/CFS.
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.
Data Collection and Use
We do not collect, store, or share any of your personal health data on our servers.
Data Stored Locally
All your personal data including:
- Energy entries and activity logs
- Symptom logs
- Daily energy budget settings
- Generated AI insights
is stored only on your personal iOS device using Apple's SwiftData. We do not have access to this data.
AI Analysis Data
When you choose to generate an AI weekly insight, your anonymized weekly summary data (activity counts, symptom patterns, no personal identifiers) is sent to the AI provider you have configured in the app settings (DeepSeek, Anthropic, OpenAI, Kimi, or Tongyi Qwen) to generate the insight. This data is processed according to the AI provider's privacy policy. We do not store this data after the insight is generated.
HealthKit Integration
If you grant permission, SpoonPace reads health data from Apple HealthKit (step count, active energy burned, sleep duration, resting heart rate) to provide better AI analysis. This data is also only stored locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly generate an AI insight.
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit 2 - Subscription management handled by Apple
- AI Providers (DeepSeek, Anthropic, OpenAI, Kimi, Tongyi Qwen) - AI insight generation, each has their own privacy policy
Children's Privacy
Our app does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18.
